    Installing the External Speakers for the TV

    Materials:

    speaker template
    stud finder
    jigsaw
    cordless drill
    screws

    • First, use a stud finder to locate the studs (figure P) to avoid cutting into them.

    • Typically a paper template is provided with wall-mount or ceiling-mount the speakers of this type. Use the template to draw guidelines on the ceiling (figure Q).

    • Using a jigsaw, cut around the circled line you've drawn (figure R).

    • These speakers have swiveling latches that clamp onto the drywall (figure S). Screw the speakers into place (figure T), making sure not to turn too far to avoid cracking the drywall.
