Imagine a relaxing, luxury master bathroom with brains a high-tech spa and shower, A/V system with splash-proof plasma screen monitor and even a paperless toilet. Jack and Ilene Flechner are updating their home and want to re-do their dull and utilitarian master-bath in style. They get some help from Regina Lewis, host of DIY's Tech Out My House.
Regina, along with some pro advice from tech expert Ryan Lampel, help the Flechner's with their high-tech upgrade, giving the bathroom a contemporary but luxurious feel. The couple is introduced to a new Kohler high-tech programmable showerm and when it's installed in the new master bath, and Regina walks through a demonstration of how it works.
They also install a new Toto paperless automatic toilet that opens and closes, lifts and warms the seat all by remote control.
As the remodel construction gets underway, Regina gives Ilene some online shopping tips for accessories and shows her some sites where she can test out her color choices to better visualize what this new master bath could look like. Regina and Ryan help the Flechners make decisions on where and how to mount a waterproof TV and a/v components. They opt to install the amplifier and RF receiver (for the remote control) in the attic. Following are lists of materials and steps for installing the A/V electronic components as seen in this episode of Tech Out My House.
