InstallationWhen installed, the vanity is supported against the wall and on top of a pedestal. Dan created a concrete pedestal, but you can use a pre-made one, a cabinet, four legs, or any other option. However, make sure when you purchase or create a pedestal that its height--once you add the vanity and vessel sink-- is comfortable for washing hands.

Tools and materials:finished concrete vanity and backsplash shelves vessel sink faucet hardware base for vanity wooden wall cleat drill and screws pencil level wooden shims caulk gun construction adhesive 100-percent silicone caulk - Set up the pedestal where it will stand and then install a wall cleat at the exact same height the vanity will rest on this for extra support.
- Dry set the vanity to make sure that it fits on top of the pedestal and wall cleat then make sure that it is level. If it's not, you can add a small wooden shim. Mark the vanity's location on the wall with a pencil. Set the vanity down; if you set it on top of a blanket or wooden blocks, it will be easier to get your fingers underneath the edges when you set it.
- Run construction adhesive on top of the pedestal, against the wall, and on the top of the wall cleat. Reset the vanity by lining it up with the mark on the wall. Add any shims and check for level. Set the backsplash shelves with their hardware with 100% clear silicone caulk silicone provides a waterproof seal and is also easier to remove than construction adhesive if you ever need to change the sink's hardware.
- The last step is adding the vessel sink and the hardware.
- Have a plumber come in to hook up the plumbing, and your concrete vanity is done.
