Bathrooms: Shower and Showerheads From "Home IQ" episode DHIQ-115

While shopping for their bathroom fixtures, the homeowners (Brad and Lynn Oberg) discover that the standard-size shower stall isn't big enough for Brad. Viewers see the solution to accommodate a larger shower and also see Brad as he tests out multiple showerheads for the master bathroom. Later, back at the job site, Lynn and the plumber go over the placement of the showerheads.

• The Jacuzzi tub isn't the only luxury item in the master bathroom of the Oberg home. The shower is also receiving the star treatment, but when the homeowners went shopping for the fixtures, Brad discovered that the standard-size shower (48" x 48") just isn't big enough (figure A).

  Solution: By pushing 1' into the garage on the floor plans, a larger shower can be accommodated.

• With the larger shower Brad can also have the multiple showerheads he desires, including body-spray showerheads (figure B) that spray or pulsate.

• Once the shower and showerheads are picked, it's time to go out to the job site and let the plumber know where the showerheads should be located.
