Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity International has been
building houses around the globe for low-income families.
In 2005, the organization made history with the construction
of its 200,000th house worldwide, this one located in
Knoxville, Tennessee. First-time homeowners Tonya and
Koffi and their family and friends provided sweat equity
and worked alongside Habitat volunteers to build their
new home. Even rainy weather couldn't dampen spirits on
this build as another family saw its dream take shape
from the ground up!
