    line level
    tape measure
    gloves
    ladder
    socket wrench
    hand drill
    stud finder
    string
    caulking
    nylock nuts

    Awning Installation

    1. Find a wall stud, or a rim joist, to insert the mounting brackets of the awning (figure A).

    2. Position the first bracket by measuring two inches down from the roof joist (figure B).

    3. Secure the brackets with lag bolts using a cordless impact wrench (figure C).

    Tip: For outdoor installations, use galvanized or stainless steel nails and bolts.

    4. Use a line level to level out and measure for the next bracket.

    5. Drill the pilot holes for the next bracket and use lag bolts to attach (figure D).
