    Repair Option 1: Ceiling Beam

    • If only the main beam is requiring repair, cut the beams length back to one third of the distance from the wall.

    • Using treated lumber, rebuild the end of the beam (figure F) and re-pocket the beam into the original masonry pocket at the house (figure G).

    • Reattach the original fascia pieces (figure H) and complete by caulking.
