The hardwood shutters add style and character to the space.

With the new fireplace finished, the bookshelves trimmed out, and the sliding barn door hung, the Alfieros get a new set of plantation shutters to replace their lackluster window treatments. The shutters were installed by professionals, who first installed a frame around the window space. The shutters were installed into the frame, and the pros made sure the frame and shutters were level and that the shutters could open and close freely. Bi-fold track shutters were installed in the kitchen passageway, while standard hinged panels were selected for the exterior window areas.
