Child's Table and Chairs: Clouds and Caterpillar

Nature invades the warehouse in this episode of Warehouse Warriors, as two teams of hobby woodworkers from previous shows are welcomed back, each ready for new challenges. The Red Team, from the south, with a keen eye for craftsmanship, is back to defend their title. The Blue Team, from southern California, has hopes that their creativity will pass the test, as both teams use nature as their inspiration to create sensory stimulating tables and chairs for children.

Project: Child's Table & Chairs

Red Team's Project:

A cloud shaped table with an apple tree rising up from the middle inspires imagination, while a chalkboard in the tree helps with fun, games and homework. The table surface is painted with acrylic paint that has a vinyl coating for easy clean-up, and both the base storage cabinet and the table legs are covered with cork board for convenient displays of artwork. Padded benches complete the look.

Blue Team's Project:
A 15 foot segmented caterpillar comes to life complete with eyes and antennae for the design of this table. This curving cutie separates into four sections designated for reading, lunch, arts & crafts, and toy storage. Bright paint, inset cup holders and a hidden toy storage door complete the table. Joining the caterpillar at play are ladybug stools of varying sizes and heights.
