    Two teams of New York City firefighters, Engine Company 259 (Red) and Ladder Company 128 (Blue)--both experienced in carpentry, home repair, and product design--engage in a friendly competition to design and construct fire house-inspired, educational and entertaining play structures for children. The Red Team designs a fire engine red space age teeter-totter, decorated with fire truck tools. The Blue Team constructs a miniature fire station training academy, a two story structure, complete with fire pole, ladder and bell.

    Red Team's Project:

    A fire fighter-themed, outer space teeter-totter, constructed of birch plywood, painted fire engine red and embellished with decorative hatchets, hooks, ladders, shields and bells.
