Red Team Activity Journal (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.) - To suspend the shelves from the frame, the Red Team drills holes in the top of the frame for long, threaded rods.
- The threaded rods are extended through the frame and the shelves are secured to the rods (figure A).
Blue Team Activity Journal (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.) - While the Red Team is working on their suspension system, the Blue Team is busy measuring and cutting support pieces, shelves and doors for their entertainment center.
- To accommodate shelf brackets, the Blue Team routes the interior support pieces (figure B).
- Working against the clock, the Blue Team decides against adding doors to the design.
