If you need a temporary work surface in your laundry room, build a collapsible table.
Materials:
Collapsible laundry table kit, including tabletop, supports and piano hinges
Drill, with drill bits and driver bits
Measuring tape
Level
Safety glasses
- Install backer boards at the height you want your table (figure A).
- Use piano hinges to attach the triangular supports to the backer boards (figure B). Attach the supports so that they fold in toward each other.
- Attach a piano hinge to the edge of the tabletop. Then open the supports, set the tabletop in place (figure C), and secure the hinge to the backer board (figure D).
