    The two most important things to have when you work with a table saw: safety equipment and cool accessories. In this segment, host David Thiel demonstrates a couple of very cool tools to complement your table saw.

    • If you’re making a frame, you need opposite miters cut into each end of your boards. With a regular gauge, you have to set the angle at 45-degrees for the first cut. Then, you’ve got to readjust the gauge to set it for the second cut. This miter gauge has two faces at 90-degree angles to each other (figure A). Use one side to make the first cut, then move the board to the other face to make the second cut (figure B). There are no adjustments to be made and you can be sure that the angles are exact. The miter gauge has holes for you to attach a sacrificial fence to support bigger cuts.
