Host David Thiel demonstrates a cool way to make digitally-assisted miter cuts.
- A traditional hand-powered miter box lacks precision. This miter saw (figure A) has a digital readout that displays both the miter angle and the bevel angle in ½ degree increments (figure B).
- Changing the bevel angle allows you to make compound angles. You can use this to cut crown molding lying flat.
- This saw also has a laser that shows you where the cut will be made. You can make sure youre cutting right on the mark so your board end up the exact length you need (figure C)
