    stud sensor
    chalk line
    utility knife

    1. Remove doors and hardware from cabinet before hanging, then determine height to install cabinets.

    2. Mark line where the bottom of the cabinets will be and install a temporary ledger board to support the cabinets during installation (figure A).

    3. Locate studs in the wall and transfer the measurements of the locations to the top and bottom mounting strips on the cabinets.
