Modern Contemporary Bedroom: Silver Vanity From "Fresh Coat" episode DFCT-108

The vanity gets a modern look with a silver leaf technique.

Materials:

Primer
Latex paint
Silver leafing glue
Silver leaf
Wood block
Brush
Small touch-up brush

1. Coat the vanity surface with primer, then allow to dry.

2. Apply a coat of latex paint for the topcoat, then allow to dry.

3. Next, apply silver leafing glue. Allow it to dry until it's sticky to the touch.

4. Use a wood block to apply the individual squares of silver leaf (figure A) to the vanity wall area.

5. Touch up any open patches with silver, then brush away the excess.
