    Materials:

    slip joint pliers
    Phillips head screwdriver
    drill with paddle bits and pilot drill
    dishwasher 90
    plumber's putty
    flexible supply lines
    soldering kit
    PVC primer and glue
    pipe cutter
    hole saw kit
    right angle drill
    reciprocating saw
    appliances with manufacturers instructions
    P-trap assemblies
    copper pipes and fittings
    PVC pipes and fittings

    1. Locate and identify your water and drain lines.

    2. Shut off the water to the house at the main using a curb key (figure A), then drain the lines by opening a high and low faucet.

    3. Next, turn the water heater off at the breaker; turn to the 'pilot' position if yours is gas.

    4. Then, prep the dishwasher by applying Teflon tape around the threads of the dishwasher 90.

    5. Insert the dishwasher 90 and snug it up (figure B).
