    Materials:

    Inside cup plunger
    Regular plunger
    Slip joint pliers
    Phillips or flat head screwdriver
    Closet auger
    Power auger
    Bucket
    Gloves
    Rag

    1. Put on gloves

    2. Remove the two nuts on a compression p-trap (figure A) and it will drop right down.

    3. Grab the collar ring and twist counter-clockwise.

    4. Slide it down, empty the water and look inside (figure B).

    5. If the p-trap is not clogged, the problem may be deeper in the drain line.
