• You can find out exactly how much water you're wasting by going online and finding a drip calculator (figure A). Simply count the number of drips per minute, then enter that number into the computer.

• An easy way to determine if you have leaks is to shut down any leaking fixtures using the isolation stops or hose caps, then checking the water meter for activity (figure B).
