Standard models are basically small versions of your home water heater. Some high-end systems come with a water filter system and a cold water dispenser (figure A).Preparation : - Clean out the area under your sink to make room for the tank.
- Next, shut-off the water at the water heater (figure B).
- Turn off the power at the breaker. If your water heater is gas, turn the control to the 'Pilot' setting.
- Drain the water lines. Turn on the faucet at the sink where you are working, as well as an outside faucet (figure C).
