    1. Take a wide putty knife and place it between the sink and the counter.

    2. Using a rubber-mallet hammer, tap the putty knife until it slides under the sink (figure A).

      Note: this process will break the seal allowing you to remove the sink without causing damage.

    3. Remove the basket strainer from the sink.

    4. Place one hand in the sink where the basket strainer was removed (figure B).

    5. Finally, slowly remove the sink. Make sure the sink is completely free from the counter.
