    After preparation, you're now ready to install the point-of-use system.

    Materials:

    Adjustable wrench
    Slip-joint pliers
    Screwdriver
    1/2 inch to 3/8 inch compression flex hose for point-of-use water heater
    3/8 inch to 3/8 inch compression flex hose for point-of-use water heater
    3/8 inch wrench
    1/2 inch wrench
    Point-of-use water heater and instructions manual

    Note: use pressure relief valves and drip legs (figure A) to run this system safely.

    1. Using an adjustable wrench, loosen the nut around the hot water stop.
    2. Remove the line from the valve.
    3. Loosen the line running from the faucet using slip-joint pliers, then remove.
    4. Attach stainless flex-lines to the faucet connection, then tighten using a wrench.
    5. Next, attach another flex-line to the hot water angle-stop (figure B), then tighten.
    6. Place the tank under the sink.
    7. Attach 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch flex-line from the hot water line to the cold water intake on the tank.
    8. Using a 3/8 inch to 3/8 inch flex-line, connect from the faucet to the hot water connection on the tank (figure C).
    9. Turn the water and power back on.
    10. Next, check the area for leaks.
    11. Turn on the faucet to purge the air from the water line.
    12. Plug the point-of-use system in under the sink. If you don't have a plug, have an electrician install one.
    13. Set the desired temperature on the system (figure D).
