    Garbage Disposal System
    Once the mounting brackets have been installed, the garbage disposal wiring can be hooked up.

    Materials:

    Flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers
    Circuit Tester
    Electrical caps
    Electrical clamp connector
    Wire nuts
    Electrical tape
    Garbage disposal system and instructions

    1. Locate the electrical hole, and insert a wire clamp (figure A).

      Safety Note: make sure the power is turned off before touching any electrical wires.

    2. Remove the screw that holds the access hole cover onto the bottom of the disposal system.

    3. Remove the cover (figure B), then pull out the disposal wires.

    4. Place the electrical wire into the wire clamp that was installed earlier.

    5. Once in the access hole, connect the black wire to black and the white wire to the other white wire.

    6. Secure the wires together using wire nuts. You can also use electrical tape to attach the wire nuts to the wires.

    7. Hook-up the ground wire.

    8. Once everything is hooked up, push the wires into the access hole (figure C) and replace the cover securing it with a screw.

    9. Finally, tighten down the electrical clamp.
