Host Steve Bull explains how to transform dull closet doors by applying a lattice pattern. Materials:
Painter's tape
Late glazing liquid
Eggshell finish base coat
Violet tint
Black tint
6 1/2" seamless foam roller
2" flat brush
Silver paint
Cheese cloth
- Use painter's tape to create a lattice pattern to the closet doors. Start by making a big 'X' on the doors as a guide.
- Next, use a thicker piece of tape against the line of the 'X' to create a spacer (figure A). Continue the pattern.
- Paint over the tape with latex paint, then allow to dry.
- Remove the tape (figure B).
- Paint the brass door frame silver (figure C).
