    This wood desk is transformed into a wine barrel using only paint.
    The next process in this design is to make Neil's desk look like a wine barrel.

    Materials:

    Painter's tape
    Latex eggshell finish for glaze
    Latex glazing liquid
    2" flat brush
    Round brush
    Black marker
    Dust mask
    Hammered finish spray paint
    Silver paint
    Trisdodium phosphate cleaner

    1. Clean the table with Trisodium phosphate cleaner.


    2. Add three parts glaze to one part latex paint to create a top glaze.


    3. Apply the glaze to the table top, then allow to dry.


    4. Place three strips of painter's tape on the table. Remove the middle strip (figure A) to create a border for a faux wine barrel metal band.


    5. Wearing a dust mask, use a metal finish spray paint to paint the border and allow to dry.


    6. Remove the tape.


    7. Place a bottle on the band, then trace a half circle (figure B) to create the look of a band.


    8. Apply silver paint to create a shade under the band (figure C).
