International Study: Negoro Nuri From "Fresh Coat" episode DFCT-111

Steve explains to the homeowners how to turn their secretary desk into a stunning furniture piece by using a technique called Negoro Nuri.

Materials:
Latex eggshell enamel
6 1/2" seamless foam roller
2" Flat brush
Cheese cloth

1. Apply red paint over a black surface.

2. While the paint is still wet, use a cheesecloth to rub off random areas (figure A).

3. Lightly blur it with a dry brush so the edges look worn (figure B).
