    Materials:
    Base coat and top coat
    Glazing liquid
    5 gallon paint bucket
    Paint bucket grid
    2" flat brush
    6 1/2" seamless foam roller
    Round brush

    1. Apply a base coat (figure A), then allow to dry.


    2. Add three parts glaze to one part latex paint to create a topcoat glaze.


    3. Next, apply a topcoat glaze over the base coat.


    4. Pull a dry brush through the wet glaze to give a wood grain look (figure B).


    5. Finally, use a toothpick and an artist's brush to paint half circles that look like wood knots (figure C).
