To complete the room, Steve demonstrates a distressing technique for the crown molding.
Materials:Painter's tape Metallic glaze Dark tint Paint brushes
Distressed Molding1. Tape around edge of molding. 2. Apply metallic glaze and allow to dry. 3. Mix a couple of drops of a dark tint to about 8 oz. of glaze to create an aging glaze. Aging glaze can also be bought premixed. 4. Apply glaze with a wet brush and wipe off excess with a dry brush. 5. The finished product adds so much to any room (figure A).
