Children's Table and Chair Set From "Fresh Coat" episode DFCT-107

The children’s table and chair set doesn’t match the rest of the room. Steve shows the homeowners a mottling technique and how to create leather looking buttons for the table.

Materials:

Latex eggshell paint
Sea sponge
Cake decorating bag
Window caulk

Children's Table and Chair Set

1. Paint table with a base of latex eggshell paint (figure A).

2. Dip sea sponge in a paint color slightly darker and in the same color family as base coat.

3. Lightly dab sea sponge on furniture and allow to dry (figure B).

4. Fill cake decorating bag with decorative nozzle with window caulk and gently press the bag to create buttons around the edge of the table (figure C).
