The doors will receive a soft rag-rolled finish and bamboo mural; the brass closet trim gets a muted patina finish.
Rag Rolled DoorMaterials: Latex base coat Eggshell latex top coat Clean, dry rag
- Apply base coat and allow to dry. Then apply top coat.
- While top coat is still wet, roll scrunched rag over the paint (figure A).
- Add bamboo motif over the ragged base (figure B).

Patina-Finish Closet Door TrimMaterials: Painters tape Green paint Teal paint Varathane varnish Small paint brushes
- Tape around brass trim of closet doors.
- Mix one part green and one part teal paint with four parts Varathane varnish for create base coat. Apply base coat with dry brush.
- Next, mix one part green with two parts Varathane varnish for top coat (figure C).
- Finally, use dry brush to blend all colors on surface.
