In only two full days you have an eye-catching, comfortable sunroom in which to lounge and enjoy nature!
    Enclosing the Interior

    1. Since these are exterior walls, it's a good idea to add some insulation to them before they are closed up. Simply measure an area and then cut the insulation to fit the space.

    2. Hold the insulation in place by using a staple gun (figure A). Measure and cut each piece, working you way across the wall. Reveiz is using the same MDO sheeting on the inside walls. The only difference is that it's 1/2" thick instead of 3/4" thick.

    3. Attach the sheeting inside using a trim nailer (figure B).

      Installing the Trim

    4. With all of the wall board up, it's time to do the trim work. Starting at the door, install the first plinth block (figure C) to the right side of the door's edge.

    5. Next, take the measurement to the top of the door and then cut it to length on the miter saw. Then you can attach it using a trim nailer.

    6. Measure, cut and install the pieces across the top and on the other side of the door, and then it's on to the window (figure D).

Note: Use the trim nailer for the thicker part of the trim, and swap to a brad nailer on the thin part. This will prevent you from splitting the trim as you put it up.

    7. Measure for the baseboards, cut them to length and just nail them in place.

    8. All that's left on this weekend project is to putty the nail holes on the inside trim, caulk all the seams where the boards meet, do a little sanding and then paint. Be sure to prime the walls first with a brush, and then you can paint the walls with a roller.
