Wine Rack1. Cut the circular pattern (four horizontal circles) into two pieces of 3/4 inch scrap wood, and then paint. 2. Cut two pieces of 1" x 1" x 15 3/4" long. 3. Attach one piece to the circular pieces at 10 inch distance (figure F). 4. Using corner brackets, attach the other piece to the base of the butcher block table to create a hanging wine rack. 5. Decorate as desired with vines or flowers.
Top1. Build the backing. Paint a "window landscape" onto the cut piece of 1/2 inch plywood measuring 24" x 38". 2. Attach the "window" centered with one inch at the top and bottom (figure G). 3. For the posts and awning, screw front and back posts to the jigsaw-cut awning pieces using standard drywall screws. 4. Using drywall screws, attach the awning and posts to the window landscaped backing piece (figure H). 5. Bend tin tiles over the top to create a tin ceiling. 6. Cut and paint two pieces of 1/4 inch trim to cover the tin tile edge. 7. Nail the tin tiles to the wooden awning. 8. Tap nails through the trim and tin tiles. 9. Attach shelves at the window panes using angle brackets. 10. Screw in hooks for pot hangers.
Internal Light1. Cut five petal shapes out of tin tiles. 2. Fold down all of the sharp edges on tin tiles. 3. Drill a hole in the base of each metal petal. 4. Insert electrics through the drilled hole. 5. Tighten to insure stability. 6. Bend the metal petals to shape (figure I). 7. Attach the light to 1" x 1" piece of wood cut to size in order to allow the light to hang within the rack.
