Setting Up a Temporary Kitchen- Set up small appliances (figure A), toaster oven, crock-pot, coffee pot, microwave and basic utensils.
- Use paper plates and plastic forks.
- Use a large tray for clean up so you can cart dishes to the sink.
- Use newspaper for prep so you can easily clean up.
- Use a rolling cart (figure B) to put basic spices on.

Hanging the Vent Hood- Pull the cleats, which are just there for shipping purposes, off the back of the soffit with a prybar.
- Find the center on the wall, and mark it with a pencil.
- Mark the center of the cowling (figure C).
- Make a vertical line over the center line of the wall using a level.
- Raise the soffit to the ceiling and make sure the center lines match up.
- Secure the soffit to the wall using one 2" deck screw included with the hood. Check for level, then add the rest of the screws.
- Lift the cowling up to the soffit (figure D), and attach it with deck screws.
- Tape the elbows to attach to the vent. Raise the venting into place. Cut the vent pipe with tin snips and put that in place.
- Attach the mounting bracket to the cowling, which holds the vent liner in place. Then screw in the vent liner.
- Attach the vent and attach the faceplate to the vent (figure E).
- Have a professional make the electrical hook-ups.
