    Base Cabinet Installation

    1. Set the base cabinets in place. Remove the doors. Use clamps to hold the cabinets while making pilot holes (figure A). Screw the boxes together.

    2. Once the face frames are together, make sure the cabinets are level. Use shims to fill the gap between the wall and cabinet. By putting the waffles next to the wall (figure B), the shims will break off easier.

    3. To create a furniture look for the sink cabinet, flip the sink cabinet over and measure for the bun feet. You will need a block to raise the bun feet. Add the block to the bottom of the cabinet. Drill pilot holes through the base and screw through the bottom of the sink cabinet on the inside. To support the base, build a box to bring it up to the height of the other cabinets (figure C). The feet are decorative and don't support the weight of the cabinet.

    4. Use 2" deck screws to attach the box to the cabinet.
