    1. Determine height desired for table and remove all table legs. Locate center of area where table will be located.

    2. Mark length on one table length and cut down to size. Secure and clamp to inside of table. Center the leg and use wood screws to secure to skirt (figure A).

    3. Measure for new skirt (slightly wider than existing skirt board). Rip 1x4s on table saw to desired size, then cut 45-degree corners. Add wood glue, position a few inches outside the existing skirt and secure with brad nailer.

    4. Remove old end boards from the skirt. Reuse corner mounts in the new skirt corners for extra support (figure B).

    5. Add putty to nail holes, primer and paint the new skirt.

    6. Pre-drill seat tops at the vertical supports and attach to benches with 2-1/4" trim screws. Fill holes with wood putty stained to match the wood. Wipe away excess putty.

    7. To install the table, align table center with center mark on surrounding surface. Use clamps to temporarily hold in place. Drill 3" wood screws through skirt and into the wall. Remove clamps.
