• A custom wine rack was built and installed between two cabinets (figure A).

  Note: Clamps secure face frame while attaching screws.

• Howard (our homeowner) chose a hood, microwave and oven all in one. The unit will not only microwave food, but bake, brown, broil and crisp. Precision, power and a smooth ceramic surface (figure B) make this sleek cook top the right choice for this updated kitchen.

• The cabinet doors were installed (figure C) and a modern coffee maker (figure D) was added.

Note: Howard had mini arc lights placed around the tops of the cabinets.

This kitchen renovation costs approximately $14,000 to complete, and the DIY savings were approximately $4,000.
