    1. Steve and Michelle (our homeowners) had a HVAC professional install the ductwork and the support frame bracket (figure A).

    2. The installation template comes with the hood. Cut out the template and place it over the vent and mark the screws for the support frame bracket (figure B).

    3. Drill the pilot holes in the ceiling for the mounting bracket. With the wiring attached to the support frame, raise it to the ceiling and secure it to the bracket with lag bolts and washers (figure C).

    4. Attach the electrical plate system to the blower support. Secure the duct collar to the blower support (figure D), and attach the support frame to the blower support.

    5. Determine the distance between the hood filter and cook top according to the chart that comes with the instructions.

    6. Unscrew the support frame, adjust the frame, and then screw it back together.

    7. Assemble the support frame on the blower (figure E) so you can cover it with the decorative flue. In order to do that, you need to thread the control panel that is attached to the power cord through the stainless flue and then screw it in place.

    8. Feed through the low voltage lighting wires and tape them down.

    9. Carefully lift the decorative flue over the support frame, lower the flue into position, and then raise up the decorative flue. Attach the duct to the vent blower.

Safety Tip: Be careful when working with aluminum tape. The edges are sharp!

    10. A few bolts secure the support frame to the blower. Run the power -- it is basically like wiring a ceiling fan.

Note: If you are unsure about wiring, hire a professional.

Lift the vent into place (it weighs approximately 50 pounds) and feed the ductwork at the same time. Telescope the flue for your final connection.

    11. Last of all, you install the light kit. The support rods that support the lights are part of the wiring itself. Start with the metal bar assembly by taping it to the electrical connector (figure F) and then guide it into the hole on the flue.

    12. Slide the insulator up to the flue and connect the bottom bar to the support post (figure G), making the connection.

    13. Once you are ready for the lights, just put the lamp between the metal bars and move it to the desired spot and then install the adjustment slide screws and tighten them with the hex key provided with the kit.

In the next segment, the kitchen drawers are refaced and the hardware installed on the doors.
