    Appliances

    • Our team had their work cut out for them getting the new appliances in through the narrow hallway.

    • The range is similar to the one at our chef's restaurant, along with the extended shelves (figure A). And the high BTUs of the burners will provide the high heat desired by our chef.

    • The grill (figure B) is stainless steel with an infra-red burner.

    • The food preparation area is actually what's called a "baker's table" (figure C), which means a coving was placed on three sides to make cleanup an easier task. For instance, flour won't go spill to the floor from the sides.

    • The dishwasher (figure D) has a stainless interior and exterior.

    • Keeping with the commercial theme, the refrigerator (figure E) is an industrial brand, subzero unit with temperature controls that are zonal so different drawers can be controlled differently. And the ice cubes won't absorb odors.

    • A unique touch is the undercounter wine cooler (figure F) that will be set at a temperature of anywhere from 65 to 80 degrees, and it will "stay" that way. No fluctuation!

Note: The cost of this renovation came in just under $30,000, but by doing most of the work themselves, the homeowners saved approximately $10,000!
