    Stainless Countertop Installation

    1. Dry fit countertop to make sure it fits, and if it's a good fit lift the countertop up and out.

    2. Measure and mark the hole needed for the sink, and use a drill with the spade bit to make the starter hole (figure A).

    3. Now take the jigsaw and cut out the marked area needed for the sink.

    4. Now apply a bead of construction adhesive on the top edge of the cabinet boxes (figure B). This will hold countertop in place.

    5. Set countertop into place (figure C).

Note: The homeowners chose to go with a granite countertop on the other side of the kitchen from the stainless countertop.

    1. Do a dry fit first (always) to make sure the piece fits.

    2. Now apply a bead of silicone around the top edge of cabinet box.

    3. Set the granite countertop in place (figure D).

In the next segment learn a lesson in tiling as Ryan and the homeowners tile the backsplash and soffit.
