DIY to the Rescue visits Becca and Chris Ehler to help them with a badly-needed kitchen update. The Ehlers hated the old white linoleum floor that came with the house. The couple tried to rip up the old floor and ended up making a huge mess -- as some sections peeled away and others were impossible to remove. The Ehlers were left with a rough, scarred floor with linoleum remnants still glued to the underlayment. The cabinets are hopelessly lost in the 50s, an exposed bathroom fixture provides over-sink lighting, and an open pantry is a stressful eyesore. The crew will help the Ehler dress up the cabinets by adding lip molding; hide the hideousness of the light with a scalloped wooden valance, and install a durable limestone-polymer floor tile to provide some panache. All that -- in only three days!
