In this final segment of DIY's "Soft Contemporary" kitchen renovation the finishing touches are made.

All the appliances are in and all that's left to this four-part "Soft Contemporary" kitchen renovation project are the finishing touches.

• The homeowners weren't happy with their old "pink" blinds in the kitchen, so they decided to go with new ones (figure A). These "Honeycomb" (see Resources for purchase information) shades are top-down, bottom-up because the top and be lowered or raised. A decorative curtain rod and drapes were added. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation.

• Pendent lights (figure B) were added to the monorail lighting system. To install all you have to do is place the connector on the track and screw the cap on to secure the lights (figure C).

Now the homeowners have a stunning new kitchen, and the best part is that they saved at least $8,000 by doing it themselves -- with the help of Paul Ryan and some experts, of course!
