1. Following instructions on box, mix TriSodium Phosphate (TSP) with water. While wearing gloves, sponge mixture on both sides of the cabinets and wipe off with clean cloth.2. Apply tape to the back surface of the cabinet doors underneath any holes. Then, fill with 2-part filler. Scoop out a golf ball-sized smear of filler onto a scrap piece of drywall or wood.
3. Next, squeeze about a 3/4" strip of the hardener from the tube. Mix with putty knife, then spread into holes and dents (figure A), slightly overfilling.
4. Allow the filled areas to dry, then use sandpaper to sand the areas smooth and even with the surrounding door area.
5. Clean residue away with paint thinner, then sand entire door surface with fine sandpaper.
6. Use a 3" brush to apply a single coat of slick surface primer (figure B) tinted to match paint color. Once primer has dried thoroughly, lightly sand entire surface (figure C).
