    drill
    screwdriver

    3" screws

    warm paint, window treatments and a leather club chair give the new office a cozy feel.


    For this project, the crew installed (7) 52" shelves in the corner, (7) 42" shelves in the bedroom closet and (4) 59" shelves above the desk.


    1. Locate and mark studs in the wall where shelving will be installed.

    2. Transfer stud measurements to shelf, then pre-drill first shelf at the corresponding measurements .

    3. Pre-drill the second and third in the same manner.

    4. Mount first shelf to the wall--screwing it directly into the studs.

    5. Attach vertical risers onto the first shelf.

    6. Slide second shelf onto the risers, resting the shelf on the riser pins.

    7. Install the third shelf in the same manner.

    8. Attach second and third shelves to the wall using 3" wood screws in the predrilled holes.
