Home Office / Skytube: Tour of the New Room From "DIY Lighting Design" episode DLTD-104

In this segment, host Denise Dillon and guest Shane Meder give you a tour of the new room.

• The corner by the closet was converted by adding a table, a tall lamp, mirror and piece of art on the wall (figure A) to create the perfect reading nook.

• Pieces of art where added to either side of the window, and cord covers were installed to disguise the hanging cords (figure B).

• The biggest change in the room was to take the computer away from in front of the window and moving it to the entertainment center on the other side of the room (figure C). And a table lamp was added for an extra source of light.

• The taupe paint on the walls (figure D) adds some spark to the room.

• Dark paint on the molding (figure E) and the ceiling make the room seem taller.

• The sconces over the sofa-bed (figure F) add extra light to the room and can be adjusted for reading at night.
