The Homefront crew renews the Jarrells' sink by installing new parts.

    1. After taking out the sink and removing old parts, apply plumber's putty around the disposal collar (figure A).

    2. Mount the collar into place by tightening down the screws with a flathead screwdriver. Follow all manufacturer's instructions to fit all the locking rings into place.

    3. Next, place plumber's putty on the basket strainer, and mount into place with a gasket and locking ring.

    4. Feed the faucet supply lines through the hole in the back of the sink (figure B), and screw down the single mounting nut onto the threaded base. Next, tighten with slip joint pliers.

    5. Connect the base of the sprayer hose to the spray supply.

    6. Slide the soap dispenser into place, and tighten the locking ring with slip joint pliers, then attach the threaded soap container by hand and insert the pump on the top of the sink.

    7. Feed the filtered water dispenser hose through appropriate hole on the back of the sink, then install the plastic spacer and washers with a nut to fasten it down. Tighten the entire assembly with slip joint pliers.

    8. Apply caulk to the underside of the sink lip, and set the sink in place on the countertop. Secure with three stainless steel clamps on each side. Wipe away excess caulk with a damp cloth.

    9. Attach the water supply lines from the sink to the faucet stops under the sink.

    Garbage disposal installation:

    1. Shut off electricity at the breaker.

    2. Remove the knock-out plug from the disposal.

    3. Attach the green wire to the ground wire (figure C), the white wire to the white and black to black. Cap off the ends or tape them off with electrical tape.

    4. Mount the unit to the disposal collar on the bottom of the sink, and down to the "p" trap.
