When duty calls, the women and men of the armed forces have to drop whatever they're doing -- including home repair and maintenance -- and deploy. The Help on the Homefront crew marched into Hinesville, Georgia (home to the U.S. Army's Third Infantry Division) to give the Childers family a helping hand. Gianna Childers and her five children spend most of the school year waiting for the return of husband and father David -- who is commanding a platoon of 40 soldiers. "I miss him the most for the children. He's gone the whole school year. A month is an eternity to them, and the last few weeks of school they're waiting for Daddy to come home." Gianna wants a more kid-friendly environment in which the kids can enjoy the summer, including: - A privacy fence that will protect the kids from neighborhood pets -- including the excitable dog next door -- and give Gianna peace of mind while they play outdoors.
