    1. Remove the drawers from the dresser (figure A).

    2. Unscrew the top.

    3. Draw cut lines for spacers as well as internal drawer supports.

    4. Using a jigsaw, cut your marks.

    5. Remove the drawer bases cutting where necessary (figure B).

    6. Cut three shelves to size.

    Note: One shelf will be used as a base at the bottom of the unit, one will be used as the top shelf, and the other will be removable and able to slide inside the unit (figure C).

    7. Measure and cut the doors.

    Note: Doors will be cut from 1/4 inch oak plywood.

    8. Sand the door edges to round off the edges.

    9. Sand the unit.

    10 Stain the unit.

    11. Attach hinges to the doors, and then attach to the unit.

    12. Hinge the top (figure D).

    13. Adjust the back piece (shave down, so that the top will open back).

    14. Add a standard hinge and a right arm hinge.

    15. Attach the music holder shelf bracket.

    16. Add handles to the doors.
