Joist hangers (figure A) come in handy for installing stringers on fences.
Preassembled wood fencing (figure B) in 8' lengths is available for about $14 per section. Wooden fencing requires some maintenance, such as applying water repellent, stain or paint.
Plastic fencing (figure C) is also available and costs about $28 for each 8' section. This type of fencing requires very little maintenance, and the posts come with joist hangers (figure D) already attached for easy installation.
