    Mirror Bar Back

    1. Create a shelf for the bottom of the mirror.

    2. Glue two pieces of 1" x 8" oak together to create 1-1/2" thickness to match the dimensions of the mirror.

Tip: Use yellow glue and plenty of clamps.

    3. Offset two pieces to create an "L" shaped ledge for the mirror to sit on.

    4. Allow the glue to dry for at least one hour.

    5. Remove the clamps, and then draw the shape of the shelf onto oak.

    6. Cut out the shape with a jig saw.

    7. Sand the rough edges.

    8. Add round-over detail using a router.

    9. Pre-drill holes for attaching to the mirror.

    10. Sand all wood pieces using a 220-grit paper.

    11. Stain to match the mirror color, and allow to dry.

    12. Apply 2-3 coats of polyurethane.

    13. Attach to the mirror with screws.

    14. Hang behind the bar with appropriate hanging hardware.

    15. Ensure the piece is level.
