    Cowgirl Chairs

    Thrift store chairs are recovered with western-style shirts and bandanas to compliment the "wild west" theme of the room.

    Materials:

    2 chairs
    cowgirl shirts and bandanas
    jeans
    cow fabric
    2 legs from a stuffed bear
    pair of children's cowboy boots
    pair of children's black boots

    1. Remove the old seat coverings on both chairs.

    2. Place the fabric on the cushions to visualize the layout.

    3. Cut the shirts and jeans to the appropriate size and shape.

    4. Pin the fabrics together to create one slipcover made of jean material, for the bottom cushion. Make one slipcover from the cowgirl shirts and bandanas, for the top cushion.

    5. Sew the fabric together.

    6. Cut the cow fabric to size.

    7. Create slipcovers out of the cow print material (figure D) for the top and bottom cushions.

    8. Cut the legs off of a stuffed bear, and then insert wiring and attach to the cow chair to look like horns (figure E).

    9. Polish the cowboy boots, and then glue them to the front legs of the chair.

    10. Polish the black boots, and then draw hooves on the front.

    11. Glue the boots to the front legs of the cow chair (figure F).
